Parent/Child Nature Groups- Prek-5th grade
Gather a group of your friends, or sign up for a group already in existence. Janet will facilitate a group to explore the outdoors, stopping to smell the flowers, hear the birds and soak in the majestic views of our area. We will meet weekly or monthly depending on preference of group. The goal of these sessions is to build a strong bond between parent and child, grounded in the calmness of nature. An added bonus is the “village” of support and shared wisdom that naturally evolves out of this group.

Homeschool Nature Groups- Prek-3rd grade
This group will be exploring nature in a way that activates their senses through unstructured play and discovery. Children will learn safe risk- taking by running, climbing, jumping, throwing things, building things and connecting with peers. Imagination, creativity and building confidence and resilience are natural byproducts of this opportunity. Children have a natural connection with nature. Let’s give them opportunities to calm their nervous systems and build their attention spans by giving them more green time. Emphasis is on social emotional development.
We will meet at a different spot each week from 10:00-12:00.

After-school Nature Groups- Prek-3rd grade
Nature is a natural antidote for our hectic, overly scheduled world. Children desperately need more green time to let their imagination flow. There is nothing more soothing to the soul of a child than having time to be free to create, run, jump, get dirty, play with rocks and sticks, and have the room to roam and explore.
We will meet at Chautauqua every week for 4 weeks from 3:30-5:00.

Day Camps- K-3rd Grade
Getting kids outside exploring the natural wonders of this beautiful area is the goal of this camp. We splash in ponds and streams and observe animals, plants, bugs and insects. We get dirty and learn to take calculated risks in the outdoors and climb trees, catch frogs, turn over rocks and enjoy a sense of unbridled freedom. Social and emotional growth is a natural benefit when children are in a relaxed and nurturing setting with room to BE themselves.

Overnight Camps- 2nd-6th grade
Your child will learn the basics of camping in a beautiful setting- from setting up tents to learning to make a fire for roasting s’mores. After a year of school and structured activities, time outdoors will give them an opportunity to experience the restorative effects of time in nature that has on their developing brains. Extended time cohabitating with peers and other leaders, provides numerous opportunities for social and emotional growth. The empowerment that is felt through these one- week sessions is staggering. A beautiful community is built with this group as they bond and come together in a setting that challenges them, both individually and as a group. Extended time outdoors gives them opportunities for learning new skills, gaining more independence and taking on responsibilities that will stay with them throughout their lives.
