Research shows that the average American child spends an average of 4-7 minutes a day playing outside and 7 hours in front of a screen. Go ahead and read that again. Research, along with my own experience in the classroom shows that kids who play outside are happier, better at paying attention, and less anxious than those that spend more time indoors.
